The Florida Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises Conference 2014

We attended the Florida Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises Conference August 1st and 2nd of 2014. We were coordially invited by Florida A and M University. This was an amazing experience. If you want to learn about what amazing things are happening with Florida farms, ways to improve your farm, new ideas in farming, meeting farmers from all over Florida, and learning the new laws that can make your farm a better business, this is the conference to attend. It shined light on our farm and it would to you too. I guarantee it!

As many know, I have my degree in Poultry and Animal Science. Most of my information I share is from my College experience, but also from experience. I would not be who I am today with out the help of others and the knowledge I obtained. Eric and my goal in farming is to produce high quality stock for market, but also to provide a wonderful farming experience to our customer base. With this said, I would like to share about our experience at this conference.

There were many lectures held at this conference, local food prepared from home grown animals, and many exhibitors from all over sharing their knowledge and products.

It seemed as though there were more exhibitors advertising aquaponics, hydro plants, and greenhouse systems. There were many students sharing their  projects as well. All in all, it was a handful of knowledge.
